Liquefied petroleum gas has a low temperature, and propane is more expensive, so these two gases are rarely used. The flame temperature produced by the combination of acetylene and oxygen is the highest. The combustion temperature of oxy-acetylene flame has obvious high temperature characteristics, and the gas combustion ratio can be easily adjusted to obtain an oxidizing, neutral or reducing flame, so oxy-acetylene is often used as a heat source for flame spraying.
