Iron-aluminum alloys have very good corrosion and heat resistance properties. Iron-chromium-aluminum alloy wire is also a heating wire with good heat resistance, but it is brittle and its application is limited.
Plasma sprayed iron-aluminum alloy coating is used to form ordered intermetallic compounds. The thermal corrosion resistance of the coating is significantly higher than that of nickel-chromium heat-resistant alloys, and it is 5 times higher than that of AISi316L stainless steel; it has the same performance as carbon steel. Similar thermal shock resistance and exhibits excellent resistance to gas erosion. It is suitable for surface strengthening and protection of fluidized bed boiler pipes, etc.
