Chromium carbide (Cr3C2) has a low melting point of 1710 degrees Celsius and a density of 6.68g.cm-3. The main feature is that chromium carbide has high normal temperature and hot hardness, and has good wettability with metals such as Co and Ni. Type carbide has the highest anti-oxidation ability. It needs to be severely oxidized in the air at 1100 degrees to 1400 degrees, and has excellent corrosion resistance. It is a material with excellent comprehensive properties of high temperature oxidation resistance, friction and wear resistance and gas erosion resistance. Mainly used in high temperature resistant coatings, but directly sprayed with chromium carbide coating, the adhesion is not strong. Therefore, it is mainly used as the main raw material component for the preparation of NiCr-Cr3C2 composite powder.
