The most commonly used carbon steel wire and carbon tool steel wire in thermal spraying have poor oxidation resistance, which is easy to cause the spray coating to be porous and oxide slag inclusions, and the carbon and alloy elements are easily burned during the spraying process, resulting in a decrease in the performance of the spray coating.

     Carbon steel and low-alloy steel are often used for surface spraying and repair of worn parts of mechanical parts that work at room temperature, especially for shaft parts, plungers, machine tool guides and other parts. The spraying process often adopts arc spraying. However, the red hardness of carbon steel wire is poor, and the hardness and wear resistance will be reduced when the temperature is higher than 250 degrees, which will affect the performance.
