What are the commonly used repair size coatings? Repair Size Coating Classification

    (1) Machinable coating for carbon steel. The composition of this type of coating is basically the same as that of the substrate, and it is suitable for iron substrates. The carbon content does not have to be low, but it must be machinable. The recommended coating must be machinable.

    (2) Grindable coating for carbon steel. This type of coating is suitable for ferrous substrates, usually high carbon steel or hardenable alloy steel. These base materials are very hard and require a grinding finish. Coatings with this function must be able to be ground to a flat surface.

    (3) Separable cutting coating for corrosion resistance. This type of coating is suitable for iron-based and corrosion-resistant steel substrates containing large amounts of alloying elements (mainly Ni and Cr). These workpiece materials are machinable.

    (4) Grindable coating for corrosion-resistant steel. This type of coating is suitable for iron-based and high alloying elements (especially Ni and Cr)

Corrosion-resistant steel substrates, these alloy substrates are hardenable and require grinding and finishing. Including non-machining corrosion-resistant 400 series stainless steel (martensitic) and other hardenable alloy steels.

    (5) Coatings for cobalt and cobalt and alloys. These coatings are suitable for substrates of cobalt and its alloys, including X-40, Stellite and other cobalt alloys. These substrates usually work at high temperatures.

    (6) Coatings for copper and copper alloys. These coatings are suitable for substrates of copper and its alloys. The types of steel alloys are complex and the properties vary greatly. Bronze, brass, etc. are included here, and these substrates may be forged or cast.

    (7) Coatings for aluminum, magnesium and their alloys. These coatings are suitable for aluminum-magnesium or their alloy based coatings, including aluminum, magnesium and all their alloy products.

    (8) Coatings for titanium and titanium alloys. These coatings are suitable for various types of titanium and its alloy products, including various cast and wrought alloys.
