Personally, I understand that the so-called loss is not fully utilized, and part of it is wasted.
There are two main losses in thermal spraying:
One is the loss of energy, and the spray gun needs to be cooled during spraying. For example, in plasma spraying, a large part of the heat generated by the spray gun is taken away by the cooling water, and only a small part is transferred to the spray powder to prepare a coating.
The second is the loss of spraying material. In any spraying method, the spraying material cannot be completely deposited on the substrate to form a coating, and a part of it must be sprayed outside the parts and dissipated with the wind. .
