Residual stress inevitably exists in the thermal spray coating, and the residual stress has an important influence on the performance of the workpiece. Excessive residual stress will cause cracking, delamination and warping of the thermal spray coating, resulting in coating failure. Therefore, it is of great significance to quantify the residual stress of thermal spray coating. With the continuous development and application of new processes and new materials, thermal spraying technology is playing the role of corrosion resistance, wear resistance and high temperature resistance in more and more fields, which greatly improves the service life of parts.






FeCrBSi coatings were prepared by supersonic plasma spraying, supersonic flame spraying and ordinary plasma spraying techniques. Scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and indenter were used to study the microstructure and mechanical properties of the coatings.
