A distinction is made by the appearance of coatings treated by HVOF:



1. Grab a handful of powder in your hand. The smoother and looser the powder, the better the quality. On the contrary, the powder is rough, feels heavy, and is of poor quality. It is not easy to spray, and there are many secondary powder drops, causing a lot of waste.



2. The larger the volume of powder coating, the less filler, the higher the cost, and the better the quality; the smaller the volume, the higher the filler content in the powder coating, and the lower the cost. The worse the quality.



3. The powder with good storage time can be stored for a long time, and the functions such as powder flow remain unchanged. Inferior powder cannot be stored for a long time, and the leveling and other properties of inferior powder will deteriorate after 3 months. Under normal temperature, the shelf life of ordinary powder is 12 months. This powder is made from poor quality raw materials. After spraying the surface for half a year, it will accelerate the chalking and aging.



2. The spraying area of the coating treated by supersonic spraying is distinguished:



The resin content of the powder in the normal spray area is about 55-65%, and the resin content is about 20 yuan/kg.



Comparison method: Two sprays of the same powder spray the same product. Depending on the area of the powder sprayed product, products with a smaller sprayed area are inferior and have higher application costs. For the application of thermal spraying processing technology, the spraying area is small and the application cost is high. It is recommended to use genuine powder from thermal spray manufacturers.



3. After supersonic spraying, the sprayer can distinguish:



High powder filling rate, high power, easy to spray. The substrate can be covered by spraying 1-3 guns. The secondary recovery powder is less and the power is high. Inferior powder is not easy to pulverize. The substrate can only be covered by spraying 3-5 guns. The secondary recovery powder is more and the power is low. The operator can determine if there is a lot of powder after the dusting rate. At the same time, fewer products are produced, and more secondary recycled powder is added by the operator, and the power is low.



4. After supersonic spraying and coating baking, it can be divided into:



A good powder doesn't smoke a lot during baking. Poor quality powder has a lot of smoke during baking.



5. After supersonic spraying and coating baking, the appearance and gloss of the product can be divided into:



Good powder products are fine, plump, transparent, and have a strong sense of smoothness, and can maintain relative luster for a long time. Poor powder products have dark, hard, foggy appearance, opaque surface, and poor flatness.



6. After supersonic spraying, coating adhesion and aging can be distinguished:



Good powder has strong adhesion and resistance, and can persist for several years without crushing and aging. After powder spraying, the adhesion is poor, the aging time is short, and the product is easy to age, grind, rust, etc.



7. The high temperature layer of the coating treated by supersonic spraying is distinguished:



Adjust the temperature to 220-230°C and hold for 10-15 minutes. A good powder has good temperature and weather resistance. After high temperature baking, there is little change in color and little change in gloss. Poor powder, poor temperature and weather resistance, serious discoloration after high temperature baking, dull color.
