High pressure cleaning for HVOF requires high adhesion to remove contaminants. For smooth concrete surfaces, ultrasonic spraying should be performed to ensure a 125 micron ultrasonic sprayed surface. Sand blasting or shot peening are suitable methods to obtain roughness.
