The wire used for thermal spraying is made by cold drawing with a wire drawing machine. Therefore, it is generally suitable for metal materials with a certain plasticity. Commonly used spraying wires are zinc wire, aluminum wire, aluminum-zinc alloy wire, steel wire, copper wire, nickel wire and molybdenum wire. There may be lubricants applied during wire drawing on the surface of the wire, and degreasing treatment is required during use.
