       The division of the plasma spraying workshop (workshop) should be considered according to the plasma spraying workload, the technological process, the selected equipment, the harmful factors generated by the plasma arc and the labor protection measures taken.



(1) Due to the harmful factors generated by the plasma arc and the harm to the human body during the spraying process, the spraying workshop should be set up in a separate compartment. If the process is mature and the product is finalized, it is best to design a remote control (manipulator).



(2) When the product cannot be finalized or is in the test stage, and the operator has to frequently enter and exit the spraying workshop for manual operation, he must wear protective masks and work clothes, or design a sound insulation operation door beside the observation window, or according to the operator's appropriate Position design sleeve operation hole (such as sandblasting room), the operator's hands can reach into the spraying workshop to operate.



(3) The number and area of spraying workshops should be determined according to the workload, the shape of the workpiece and the external dimensions of the selected equipment.



(4) It is best to use a water filter spraying box in the plasma or flame spraying workshop to remove dust and harmful gases; or use a semi-automatic spraying mechanical equipment of sealed sound insulation hood. In addition, a mechanical transmission is equipped according to the shape and size of the part.



(5) The power supply, control cabinet and powder feeder should be arranged in the control room. Booster pumps, tanks or heat exchangers can be arranged in the spray booth.



(6) If the plasma spray gun uses cerium tungsten electrodes, it is not necessary to set up a separate electrode rod grinding room, and it can be carried out in the machining workshop. In the case of less workload, the grinder for grinding electrode rods can also be placed in a corner of the machining workshop, but mechanical exhaust should be designed.



(7) If solvent vapor is not used for degreasing, it is not necessary to design a degreasing room separately, and degreasing can be carried out in the preparation workshop.



(8) When there is no condition to set up a sandblasting room, the pretreatment of the workpiece can be entrusted to an outsourced unit for processing, but it must be ensured that the spraying after sandblasting shall not exceed four hours. In addition, when the EDM is used according to the surface requirements of the workpiece, it can be arranged in the preparation workshop.



(9) Factories with conditions can set up laboratories to test the prepared coatings.



(10) The spraying workshop in the southern region can also use natural air intake, but the air inlet should have filtering facilities.
