China's official manufacturing PMI in September was 52.4, a record high since May 2012

       China September official manufacturing PMI was 52.4, the 14 consecutive month above the line ups and downs, the highest since May 2012. China's official non manufacturing PMI was 55.4 in September, the highest since June 2014.

2017 September, China's Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) was 52.4%, an increase of 0.7 percentage points over the previous month, the manufacturing sector continued to maintain a steady and good development trend, the pace of expansion has accelerated.

Sub enterprise size, large and medium-sized enterprises PMI 53.8% and 51.1%, respectively, up 1 and 0.1 percentage points, respectively, is located in the expansion of the interval; small enterprises PMI 49.4%, 0.3 percentage points higher than last month.

From the classification index, in the 5 classification index constitute the manufacturing PMI, the production index, new orders index above the critical point, raw materials inventory index, employment index and supplier delivery time index below the critical point.

The production index was 54.7%, up 0.6 percentage points from the previous month, continuing above the critical point, indicating continued expansion of manufacturing output. The new orders index was 54.8%, an increase of 1.7 percentage points over the previous month, above the critical point, indicating a rapid growth in the manufacturing market demand. Raw material inventory index was 48.9%, 0.6 percentage points higher than last month, below the critical point, indicating that the manufacturing stock of major raw materials decline narrowed.

Employment index was 49%, a slight drop of 0.1 percentage points over the previous month, lower than the critical point, indicating that manufacturing enterprises have decreased employment. Supplier delivery time index was 49.3%, unchanged from last month, continued to be below the critical point, indicating that the manufacturing raw material supplier delivery time slowed down.
