Advisors at the National Technical University of East Kazakhstan have developed tungsten and bismuth production from technogenic and loose deposits under the auspices of the "raw material and product deep processing" priority program and the "technical causes and natural raw material processing technology" technology.

The main purpose of the project is to change the tungsten-based raw material enrichment technology based on the magnetic separation method to improve the technical and economic indicators of the processing process. In addition, the use of gravity and dry magnetic dressing to carry out the investigation of tungsten raw materials is also one of the purposes. Because Kazakhstan has a wealth of tungsten-containing raw materials, through the study can be achieved in the local processing of these minerals.

Through the research, the experts have clarified the regularity of the distribution of tungsten and bismuth in the process of tungsten containing raw materials based on gravity and dry magnetic dressing, and proved the effectiveness of continuous application of centrifugal concentrator and magnetic separator to improve the quality of crude tungsten content. During the experiment, tungsten and bismuth were increased from 56.08 to 67.37% (mass) and 55.71 to 80.34% (mass), respectively, as the magnetic induction value increased from 0.2t to 1.4t. While the absorption in the non-magnetic part of the opposite, there has been a decline, respectively, the decline was 42.37 ~ 30.61% and 33.57 ~ 13.11%. The product (paramagnetic portion) containing about 48% tungsten and 13% bismuth can be obtained by grinding the tungsten-containing gravity concentrate on a concentration stage using a dry magnetic separation method.
