"Planning" mentioned that by the end of 2020, China's nonferrous metals industry has entered the world power ranks.

"Planning" proposed to strengthen the supply side structural reform and expand the market demand as the main line, to the quality and efficiency as the core, take the technical innovation as the driving force, to high-end materials, green development, integration of the two resources, security and international cooperation as the focus, to accelerate industrial restructuring and upgrading, develop new space for the development of the industry, to at the end of 2020, China nonferrous metals industry entered the ranks of world powers.

"Planning" proposed the implementation of innovation driven, accelerate the adjustment of industrial structure, vigorously develop high-end materials, promote green sustainable development, improve resource supply capacity, promote two of the depth of integration, and actively expand the application areas, deepen international cooperation of 8 key tasks, and to form columns list 7 development priorities and 4 key projects. "Planning" as the "13th Five-Year" period to guide the development of nonferrous metals industry special planning, will promote the transformation and upgrading of nonferrous metal industry, sustained and healthy development.

In the transformation and upgrading, "planning" proposed, aviation aluminum materials, electronic materials, power battery materials, high-performance cemented carbide and other intensive processing products comprehensive support capacity of more than 70%, basically meet high-end equipment, new generation of information technology and other needs. Industrial layout further optimized, inefficient production gradually withdraw, electrolytic aluminum capacity utilization rate reached more than 80%, industrial concentration significantly improved, international business capacity improved, international capacity cooperation has made significant progress.

In the development of high-end materials, "planning" proposed, to meet the basic key materials of China's new generation of information technology, aerospace, marine engineering and high technology ships, advanced rail transportation, energy saving and new energy vehicles and other high-end areas as the focus, through collaborative innovation and intelligent manufacturing, focus on the development of high performance lightweight alloy nonferrous metal materials, electronic materials, non-ferrous metal materials, new energy rare metal processing materials, enhance the uniformity of material quality, reduce the cost, improve the ability and level of the effective supply of high-end.

Around the large aircraft, passenger cars, major equipment in high-end high-speed rail, ships, marine engineering and manufacturing field, "planning" stressed the need to accelerate the implementation of large size aluminum lithium alloy ingot casting, high precision sheet with high speed air cushion type continuous heat treatment system, large high precision wide magnesium alloy strip manufacturing, titanium alloy extrusion processing and on-line straightening, large size titanium alloy material, 3D printing powder production line upgrade, to 2020, aviation, passenger and freight train with high performance lightweight alloy material, marine engineering and aeronautical titanium, Aluminum Alloy materials to achieve stable supply, and constantly improve the international competitiveness.
